Open-Ended Toys

Open-ended toys are sure to ignite imaginations, encourage creativity and inspire different ways to play. They also offer amazing developmental benefits; and one thing is true – the more ways a child can play with a toy, the more they will learn!

Although they’re great on their own rights, closed-ended activities don’t offer as many opportunities when it comes to play value, as they usually involve a set task that needs to be completed. On the other hand, open play offers an abundance of opportunities, as little ones will be forever finding new ways to create.

Open-ended play aids in the development of cognitive and social skills, plus social interaction and problem-solving. They also allow your little one to express themselves freely. No rules, no boundaries and endless possibilities. What’s not to love?!

Mum’s Grapevine recently listed their top open-ended toys, and we were pleased to see we stock over half of those. Want to see which ones made the cut? Keep reading!
