It’s a gooooaaaal! Football toys that will get the whole team excited…

As the FIFA World Cup prepares for kick-off, the Entropy Elves are celebrating all things football.

We are big fans of the game, especially when considering its ability to score goals for the development of little ones.

“Football has a great role to play in the development of motor skills in young children,” Entropy Chief Poobah Deborah Latouf says, who has a PhD in motor development.

“Plus the game has lots of other fantastic benefits like teaching good sportsmanship, resilience, the ability to deal with disappointment, social skills and sharing; plus it gets children outside being active and having fun with family and friends.”

Here are the Elves’ top football finds:

Apples to Pears Football-in-a-Tin, $24.95: This pint-sized kit has everything you need to bring the game to you – miniature style! With a felt football pitch that fits on the table, two sets of finger-fitting football boots, three balls, two goals and rules, you’ll be a football star in no time. Just slide your fingers into the boots and show your opponent what you’re made of!

Soccer Swingball is an all-surface reflex soccer ball on an adjustable, recoiling cord. Play it on grass, decking, concrete or sand — simply fill the base with water or sand for stability and you’re ready for kick-off.

Jungly Tails Boing Ball, $19.95: This ball is great for developing those motor skills from an early age. Making a cool ‘boing’ noise whenever it makes contact, this ball will grab children’s interest to tackle fundamental football skills early.
